A website for the Norfolk Circuit Court Clerk's Office

This site is being developed to house court documents that have had personal information redacted in accordance with Code of Virginia  § 2.2-3808.2, which states that;

"Beginning January 1, 2004, no court clerk shall post on a court-controlled website any document that contains the following information: (i) an actual signature; (ii) a social security number; (iii) a date of birth identified with a particular person; (iv) the maiden name of a person's parent so as to be identified with a particular person; (v) any financial account number or numbers; or (vi) the name and age of any minor child."

George E. Schaefer, III, Clerk of the Norfolk Circuit Court has worked to remove all personal data from court documents.  We have completed the process on Marriage Licenses.  Our next project will be Land Records.

This is the pilot site and is still in development.  We are currently hosting only 2 years of marriage licenses but will be adding additional records as soon as we can.  Additional images will be added daily.
